What are you talking about that he is an investigator for a city but not a police officer? Police detectives are the ones who investigate crimes, they may be called agents or investigators rather than detective but they are police officers. Not all police officers drive patrol cars - many are detectives who investigate crimes.

You need to speak to a criminal defense attorney. Sounds like your van was in the shop at the time all of this happened and the people at the gas station know you because you used to work there so the repair shop and gas station employees would be good witnesses for you.

I am terrified this is gunna be pined on me. I am a single mother with three children and I don’t have the financial means to hire an attorney. Now, If I was charged I would have a few more resources.

I can prove my vehicle was in the shop. I am going through my bank statements to see if I was infact at the drug store in question. If I was at the drug store and I don’t know if I was….I must have a transaction record on my statement.

do you have relatives who can loan you money? can you get a home equity line of credit? a cash advance from a credit card?

are you employed full time? if not, look for a job.

Well, If I am infact charged….I have three children to think about. There is no one I can leave my children with in the event I get picked up. I know worrying about it isn’t going to make this go away….But I can’t help but worry! It’s all I can think about. I can’t sleep or eat.

I will try to reach out to someone for a loan….all I can do is try.

Me and my children live in my uncles home. I'm like a live in home health aide. This is his home not mine. So home equity is not an opinion.
