I was reading many articles about child emancipation in California for children 14 and older.
My friend wants to be emancipated, she thinks she is 13 and a couple months she will be turning 14, but her mother lost her birth certificate, passport, and any information about her. Her mother and father physically abuse her (she recently came to school with a black eye because of her mother), and they have sent her to various foster homes. She doesnt like foster homes, and her sister is recently in jail, so she has no one to defend her because she is alone at home with her parents. She is getting a job, and right now, she is temporarily living at her friends house, just so her parents wont abuse her. I want to know if she can get emancipated with a case like this. She is badly hurt, and she doesnt want to face her parents again.. please answer as soon as possible!!
