You are going to have to be more specific about the notice.

You received a notice from an ISP and this company, what company? Is it the ISP threatening to sue or is some other company threatening to sue you?

What was alleged downloaded and what does the notice say you did with it? Did you download it to a website? Was it licensed material like software?

Was this notice a DMCA takedown notice?

first thing is contact your ISP not using any phone numbers from the notice and verify that it is real, there are scammers that use fake copyright notices.

I can't speak for him 100% but is sounds like a copy write infringement letter, sent to people who download Movies, Software and Tv Shows. they are pretty common, and distinctly different than the DMCA Takedown Notice. This is from someone downloading copy written material from the internet to a computer over the OP's network.

I agree 100% here, I have not seen a legitimate letter that asks for a fee to be paid. They are typically cease and desist letters from the ISP, or civil demands from the Copyright holder. The first step is definitely to verify this letter through the main number for your ISP.

OP, if you are downloading movies, music, tv shows, etc then stop, immediately, at least until you learn what you are doing. If the letter is legitimate, and you, and members of your household have not downloaded anything then you need to change your WiFi password.
