My question involves juvenile law in the State of: New Mexico. I am 16 years of age and I will be turning 17 in the January of 2015. I am graduating this year and I would like to be emancipated so I can legally live on my own when I go to college. I plan to go to Penn state after I graduate. My parents are in the middle of a divorce now and I will be choosing to give my dad custody of me. I was wondering since I want to get emancipated so I can leave the state if I have to still have a source of income or what I have to do to be able to be emancipated before I graduate.
