Default Caught Shoplifting But Allowed to Leave

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: California

Okay so a friend and I got caught shoplifting at Target just yesterday. When the security from there came up to us, a man did as well so I'm guessing it was an under cover guy?? I'm not sure. Anyways, he got to us when we were right at the door and asked us to take out what we had taken. My friend asked if we could do this somewhere else, and he said no, so we just took out the items. However, my friend did not take out a bracelet she took so the security specifically asked for that. He didn't look in our bags and no other security or person came to us. After we took the things out, he just let us go. He didn't tell us we weren't allowed in the store ever again or that we'll be getting something in the mail, absolutely nothing. So I'm confused, is anything going to happen? Are my friend and I not allowed in any targets anymore?
