Default Are Community Service Hours Transferrable?

If I were to be sentenced to 100 community service hours in one county, and then I move to another county (within the state), MUST I complete the community service hours in the county in which I was originally charged, or is it likely that I can complete these hours within my new county where I am currently living? I am currently in Iowa. My original county would be Johnson, the new one, Polk.

If you wish to try to complete your community service in another county, you should get approval for your plan from the sentencing court or, if you have one, your probation officer. That way you will know in advance that it will count.
