Same Sex Couple Wanting to Visit the U.S.

I guess that's because everyone wants to live in the U.S., right? We don't. We have a good life here in Argentina. I have legal permanent residency and my passport shows how much time I've spent in the U.S. since moving here. My aging parents are my only ties and I'd like my partner to meet my father before he dies. What do I need to present or do to prove that?

I don't have any reason to lie. I came to Argentina during the visa waiver program. I found an employer that sponsored me for a work visa. After 3 years with a work visa, I applied for and received permanent residency. I followed the rules & laws of Argentina. What that has to do with my US citizenship is beyond me. My social security number, high school & college records, employment history, etc. is readily available to any official who wants to investigate me. I've never heard of a passport being canceled for.....being an expatriate???? Of course, it's all about money right? I don't have any. I don't own anything or owe anybody. I'm sure there are many households in the U.S. where one person works and the other takes care of the house? That's how we do it here.

No, your passport is not going to be flagged or canceled if you make a trip back to the US. No, the IRS is not going to be fining you 10s of thousands of dollars.
