My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: CA
I live in San Diego County and recently signed a lease with my new landlord in house. He did not do a background check and I am on probation. I have to adhere to my probation requirements where they may search my things and the common area. The place has one person living there already, the landlords stepson, and the landlord uses a room and the garage as a office from time to time, but does not come into the common area of the home. Since I have a signed 1 year lease by myself and him can he kick me out because the police might search the place from time to time? There is no quit clause in the lease which I have seen in CA can be used to terminate a lease for just about any reason.
