Thanks for the response. The question about the administrative law judge was in relation to what I had to do in California. The Board of Behavioral Science initially denied my application for my MFT license. I was told that I could appeal to an ALJ. A person at the state told me that the board needed to have someone else give their "approval" for me to be licensed. Some issue with the Board wanting to have someone else take some of the risk. I ultimately was licensed, but without the hearing and appeal, theBoard would not have given me the license.
