If you think the US is "fascist," you clearly have no real idea of what it is.

In the meantime, have fun in Europe. And, be sure to take advantage of their often ever-present mass transit system so that you will not be putting them at risk of harm when you drink.
I didn't say the US was Fascist. I said the US could be moving towards Fascism. Big Difference. Huge immunity deals, overloaded government bureaucracy, economic stagnation and decline for the average person, etc all make the US vulnerable to Fascism. The rise of Fascist groups such as the National Front in France also make us vulnerable.

so not "appears on our currency" so much as "almost a hundred years ago, was present on the dime as a symbol of lawful authority."
It's still legal tender. I collect coins which is why I knew that it was on the Mercury Dime, which ironically has no mercury in it. Plus, the Fasces is still used in lots of government logos today on a regular basis. It doesn't really indicate a serious move towards what Mussolini called Fascism, but it still looks like some of the symbols in Fascist Italy. For whatever reason, the Fasces doesn't carry the same stigma of the Swastika.
