I am from Oregon...

I worked as a Probation Officer for 12 years, I had a mental breakdown and they asked me to resign. They agreed to seal my records and I left. It has been two years and I am back to "normal". I want to get back in the field that I have my education in but I can't pass a background check which was done by a professional background investigator. I told the investigator the truth.I am young and put my heart in my job, because of one bad year I can't pass? I asked the last place that I interviewed at why I didn't get the job and she said because I didn't pass the background but she wouldn't tell me why? How can I find out what was said about me? Is there any legal way that I can get a hold of that finished background check? Why should I bother going through the hell of getting my hopes up over and over if I am never going to pass the background check? Please give me guidance.. I am losing hope for a future.
