My question involves an eviction in the state of: Michigan
If there are renters with no written lease, with a history of nonpayment of rent, can they be served with a 7 day nonpayment of rent notice in addition to a 30 day notice to quit? The owners aren't concerned with getting the money, they just want the people out ASAP, so they want to cover their butts in the case the people living in the home come up with the money ( highly unlikely), and it ends up taking 3 weeks to go to court, if that time could also go towards the termination of tenancy they are fine with paying to file again a week later to get them OUT.
