If not, as I said earlier, you have nothing to lose by signing the stipulation and sending it back. Just be sure to follow up with the court to make sure it actually gets filed.
Well, I did sign the stipulation and mailed it to the law firm. As a result, according to the court's website, this case status is now listed as "closed". The motion to dismiss was granted and it was dismissed without prejudice. I understand that they still have the right to sue me.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to give me advice. Everyone was extremely helpful.
