Can I get emancipated?

I live in Callahan, Florida and I am a sophmore at West Nassau High School. I live with my mom, my fourteen year old sister, my eight year old brother, and a guy I would like to call my step-dad but can't because my mom ruined her chances with him when she started doing drugs again. My siblings and I all have different fathers. My father has been in and out of prison all my life and I don't see him at all. My sister's father is the one I live with right now. I don't know where my brother's dad is either. Anyway, my mom has also been in and out of jail and prison for the violation of probation and the use of crack-cocaine. I am so confused and aggravated with...I just want out ! I have someone that I can stay with but I don't know what to do about my sister and brother...I don't want to leave them alone but my grades are falling and I'm trying my best to stay in church. The guy I live with says he can't take it anymore...what can I do? All I want is a better life and a stable family environment....

In Florida, your parents would need to initiate emancipation procedure. You would have to be able to show that you could support yourself. Nothing in your post indicates you are even close to getting this done.

I would suggest you speak to a counselor at school about the situations you are having at home. Hopefully, child services will check out what is going on.
