Lied About My Identity After Getting Caught Shoplifting

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

My sister & I got caught shoplifting in walmart. They got us on camera. When we got out of the store a guy and a girl stopped us and said we forgot to pay for something. We wore really scared and lied about our names i am only 16 years old and my sister is 24. I'am supper scared it was our first time. The police came in an took us. When i was there i just had to say the truth about my name. My mom went and got me they let my sister out too but i have to go back 6-10-14. I would like to know what could happen to me when i go? What could be my punishment? I am really ashamed and scared i feel bad i let my mom down. It was a dumb thing to do it was just some nail polish

You can look at the charges on your court summons to see what you're charged with. It's probably just the shoplifting charge, particularly if you never lied to the police.

In juvenile court, the judge is going to consider your home, school, community and prior police record when determining what might be an appropriate disposition. They can track you through mom so you both screwed yourselves. You need lawyers. The court will likely slam sis hard assuming she has been caught stealing and lied several times.
