Default Emancipation on Mother's Petition in Florida

My name is Rachel, I am currently living in Fort Myers, Fl. I am 16 years old and my mother has asked me to consider emancipation. I meet all the requirements and would be capable to live on my own. I have a car, a stable job, and have thought out how I would be able to attend school and work. I have no idea how to file the paper work, and am not sure what to say to the judge. They want to know why I want to move out, am I suppose to tell them that it is because my mother is sick of living with me?

    Default Florida Emancipation Petition

In Florida, it would be your mother who files the peition for emancipation. Ordinarily it would be the moving party (your mother) who would have to explain the basis for the petition to the court, not you.
