Default Recovery of Money from Evicted Tenant

My question involves small claims court in the state of: Texas

I evicted a tenant via the courts and have been left with a substantial bill to turnover property for next tenant. I was contacted by one of the parties requesting settlement, but she has quit her job and left Texas. I have no idea where the husband is either.

What are viable methods to locate and am I able to sue a party out of state and recover any funds?

Default Re: Recovery of Money from Evicted Tenant

As you're in settlement negotiations, you can indicate that payment should be tendered in the form of a money order at the time you enter the stipulated order resolving the case.
