My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Pennsylvania
My wife and I moved into a house on 28 February 2014. On May 2 we had a storm and we had leaks in every upstairs room. We had a buying agent and we've asked her to discover if there was a warranty for the roof. The roof was brand new and the home was renovated.
The home inspection found issue with the vent in the bathroom; there was some discoloration in the ceiling. Home inspector suggested to we tell the seller to fix it as well seal lose voids at chimney flashing and loose seams at roof penetrations and cap top of front wall to prevent water penetration behind siding.
Seller agreed to all items. But, obviously, we have a leaking roof.
We're currently contacting people for estimates; we've had one contractor look at it already and say we may need a new roof but I'd like some more to look at it first.
This is with a VA loan if it makes any difference
Is there any recourse we have here?
Thank you
