My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Ohio
I gave my dad an old (1981) motorcycle five years ago.
He never registered it, and in fact he never bothered to transfer the title. So, in the eyes of the law I guess, the bike is still mine.
Anyway, since he hasn't done anything with it, I asked him if I could have it back for a project. He said sure.
I then realized that because he never transferred the title that I will probably have to pay some late fees because most states no longer allow their subjects hold certain property without registering it annually, whether we use it or not.
I found this: http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/fees_for_services.stm
Does anyone know if I'll just have to pay the $10 late fee mentioned at the top of the page, or will I have to pay the past registrations for the years the motorcycle wasn't used?
Thanks.
