Default Can You Stop People From Doing Things You Don't Like

My question involves civil rights in the State of: MA

Just curious. If I find something offensive or controversial, is there any way I could intervene and stop it even if its legal or what I be overreaching my bounds?

Example: If the KKK was going to do a rally in my town, could I legal interfere with their rally?

You can legally counter-protest. You can even sue to have the rally stopped, but expect to fail on First Amendment grounds. Some groups here in my hometown sued to stop a Klan rally. They failed in their effort. The rally happened, the Klan marched through a Black neighborhood, counterprotesters started throwing things, and then we had a riot on our hands. (Residents of the neighborhood had asked people to just stay inside and ignore the Klan, but offended people were offended.)

You do not have the right to never ever be offended. Really, you're best off ignoring or peacefully counterprotesting if a perfectly legal activity upsets you.

Why do you believe your rights are more than those of the KKK members?

    See: Fred Phelps, biker counter-rally.

I was just using them as an example. I'm not referring to them directly. I'm just talking about things that I find offensive or controversial in general.

    Pretty sure we gathered that.

Hey, I happen to find it distasteful when people post hypothetical questions on a legal forum which have no basis in reality and effectively interfere with the help needed by those in real life situations.

    If you get my point.

I just think that for the betterment of society and stopping things that are immoral I'm doing a pretty good deed.

Personally, I find the notion of trampling all over the First Amendment is immoral. So.

Yes, that's what Timothy McVeigh said, too.

There is the problem with your original thought, what is or isn't moral is a very personal thing. What if you feel it's immoral for unmarried people to live together? Many people do and many people don't. Do you feel it's immoral for a mother of a 16yr old daughter to wear skimpy outfits in public, or let her daughter wear skimpy outfits in public? What about people who don't attend church, attend the wrong church, have children out of wedlock, listen to the wrong music, dance with their bodies touching, eat veal, hunt, etc etc?
Who gets to draw the line on morals? I certainly don't want one person to decide what is right and moral for all of us, that's why we have laws that try to emulate the general feeling of the population with regards to what is right and wrong but even that is not going to be perfect for everyone.
