My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Florida
I was fired from my job because I used an old gift card that had $26.50 on it that a customer did not end up using. The police were not called in and I was not arrested. I also paid back the $26.50 to the company. I deeply regret this situation. I want to know how will I be aware that I am in the retail theft database? Also I would like to know will it show up on background checks for non-retail jobs? Thank you in advance for answering my questions.
