Default Recovering Overpaid Worker's Compensation Insurance Premiums

My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: CT

Not sure if this question belongs here, if this is the wrong place please direct me to the right one. But I have just found out that I have been over paying on my workman's comp policies for my employees for the past several years. The workmans comp company has my services based of off 2 classes. Ill try to keep this short so for example, class A's services are 10 dollars on the hundred and class B is 3 dollars on the hundred since its a much lower risk of getting hurt. All of my employees were on class A from the start when in fact it should only have been 2. Is there any chance for a reimbursement? Thank you for help!

I just realized that this should go in the insurance thread. Sorry about that, can a mod move this? Thank you.

    Default Re: Overpayment Reimbursement

classification issues can be tricky. every carrier has their own underwriting rules and some distinctions are not so clear cut.
if the carrier agrees with your conclusion, then yes they can re-bill and credit your policy. many carriers have a limit as to how far back they will go.
contact your broker about scheduling a payroll audit for the years in question.
