My question involves a child custody case from the State of: IL
My ex-husband has been lying about stupid stuff to the GAL. I have provided proof to the GAL of his difficulty telling the entire story when necessary. For example, kid needs braces; he wants to use a mediocre orthodontist who treated his girlfriend's kids and is a "family friend" and provides a discount, but is difficult for me to get to; he told GAL that the dentist referred to this particular orthodontist. The dentist said an ortho consult would be appropriate "sometime soon" but did not give a named referral. I called the dentist for recommendations.
Ex-husband made the appointment without any notification to me. There are more examples of his fibbing, but I would be writing volumes.
Ex-husband fired his attorney because his ex-attorney did not object to the GAL's opinion that girlfriend's kid who torments one of my kids not be in a caregiving situation - previously he and g/f were enjoying free baby sitting for their very frequent nights out. He was also counting on this kid driving my kids when g/f's kid gets a driver's license. I objected to this and asked that he keep all the kids' safety in mind, noting that a novice driver is probably not a good choice for driving two siblings with issues. He was very angry with ex-attorney and GAL who is not backing down from the agreed ordered which goes before the judge next week.
Ex-husband also got a $15,000 bonus at year-end but is asking us not to count it as incomefor child support purposes. He said it "wasn't really income" even though the IRS thought differently.
Ex-husband lies to make himself look better and blames me for everything that goes sideways in our alleged co-parenting.
My question is: what is a supposed outcome of lying to the GAL?
Thank you in advance for your support for this mind-boggling problem.
