My question involves guardianship in the State of: Washington and/or Conneticut
Facts:
Son 16 years old sophomore in High Shool in Washington State
Took Greyhound bus yesterday headed to Conneticut to be with Boyfriend
Lied to Boyfriends parents stating he was an emancipated minor
Threatened to cut off all contact if we attempted to stop him
He ran away in the middle of the night, we located him before his bus left but after discussion and threats we did not stop him from taking the bus.
I don't know what the best course of action is and/or what will be best to limit my legal libilities if anything happens while he is in Conneticut?
I do know that my son and his boyfriend have lied to his parents to allow my son to stay with them. He has stated that he is a legal emancipated minor. Again my son says if we contact them he will cut off all contact but this is putting them at risk as well.
I just want an idea of what I should be doing to protect us, his Parents, him and his boyfriend and parents. I don't know what the legal ramification are in Conneticut.
