If they do, it will be because your name and address are a matter of public record and not because anyone wrote down your license plate number.
In Arizona, state law requires the person signing the petition to provide an address of record. That is then used to determine the validity of the signature if it is selected for examination by the Secretary of State.
In MA, too. It never even occurred to me that Pandy might not be asked to provide her address when she signs the petition, which is one reason I couldn't understand why someone allegedly writing down plate numbers is such a big deal.
