Default Do Oral Property Agreements Hold Up in a Divorce

My question involves a marriage in the state of Delaware

A friends husband requested to have separate finances before she was injured and won a lawsuit. After her lawsuit she purchased a home and now he has hinted that the home is also his. Does he have claim to the home if she supported herself during the past five years after his request to keep things separate? What can she do to protect herself and her children? She is still out of work will the courts allow him to take their home?

Default Re: Do Oral Property Agreements Hold Up in a Divorce

The nature and extent of the husband's claim will depend on the full facts. She can discuss those facts with a divorce lawyer.
