My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Arizona

Is it legal for my employer to give me a one week's suspension and give another employee that committed the same infraction no reprimand, with both of us having no prior warnings or reprimands leading up to this punishment?
I will make it as clear as I possibly can. Yes. It is legal for your employer to give you a one week's suspension and give another employee who committed the same infraction no reprimand, even if both of you have had no prior warnings or reprimands prior.

Now. That being said, if you have VALID and SUPPORTABLE EVIDENCE that the basis for the difference in treatment is a characteristic protected by law, there can be exceptions to the above. If you believe there is any such evidence, feel free to present it. In the absence of such evidence, you may safely assume that it is legal.
