    Default Modifying Alimony After Quitting a Job Due to Health Problems

    My Divorce case is Going in CA court .I am working with One IT company in CA on Contractual basis ,because of that i am getting a very less Compensation from my Spouse.Now I want to leave the job because of health Issue . So can i get the Higher compensation as i am not working .Will it affect the merits of my case
    Please advice.

    If you are going to quit your job when you are able to work and just not prefer to work, then your spouse should not be responsible for supplementing your income. Has your physician ordered you to stop working? What condition do you have that you can no longer work?

    Also, is this temporary or permanent support? By the terms of the judgment, modifiable or non-modifiable?
