Charges for Doctor Shopping

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
I have gone to different diet Doctors in the past to get a prescription for diet pills in the past every 2 to 3 weeks instead of waiting and going once a month. I have about three doctors I go to. I went to get a prescription filled last weekend it would have been two weeks before I was due to get a new script. When I went to the pharmacy the pharmacist came out and told me she made a call and that I had a script filled recently for the same medicine and she voided my prescription. I said ok thank you and left. When I called my doctors office he called the pharmacy and they said they pulled up a report that I recently had that prescription filled and voided the script. I said okay and thank you. What should I do now. I have not gotten another script filled and do not plan to. Do I need to hire an attorney, I know what I did was wrong and am scared to death.

What you need to do is STOP. Stop the addiction, stop the shopping and get clean. If you can't do that on your own, get help.

You don't need an attorney unless you get charged with the crime.

You are probably a bit paranoid due to your addiction.

If however you are shopping to distribute on the street, you have a lot more to worry about.

What medication are we talking about?

The reasonable inference from the behavior you describe is that you are addicted to this medication and are abusing it. Is that correct?

You are correct and I am very paranoid, and have stopped. Honestly because I did abuse it and took more like2 to 3 a day instead of 1 a day I got used to it and it didn't work any more. I think it was more in my head that I needed it. Honestly when I am off the medication I have lost weight faster and keep it off, so I know what I did was wrong just don't know if I should get an attorney, if the pharmacist turned me in, what I should do.

Now seriously....may I recommend Weight Watchers and a gym membership? Diet Pills are a short-term weight loss thing. Weight Watchers will teach healthier eating without depriving yourself of favorite foods, exercise tips (even if you can't afford a gym), and also a maintenance program once you reach your goal weight. Bonus: After achieving and maintaining your goal weight...you can also become a Class Leader or Receptionist and help others Good luck to you.
