Default If You Have Overpaid Support, Can You Later Pay Less Money

My question involves child support in the State of: Tennessee

What is the law concerning paying a large payment into the child support account, ie; the regular payment is around $200 and the account is credited $13000 by the non custodial parent, potentially to not have to make further payments. Can the noncustodial parent make this payment and not make further payments until the credit has gone?
If the noncustodial parent has had an increase in income do they pay more in child support?

Default Re: If You Pay More in Support at One Time Can You Pay Less Later

We have none of the background to how the credit was accumulated, the age of the children, or anything else relevant to the circumstances.

Generally speaking, a credit balance will be spread over the remaining months of payment (or a reasonable subset of those months) so as to ensure that the children remain properly supported. The rest depends on the facts.
