Default Wanted on a Warrant for a Charge I Thought Was Resolved

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Arizona.

I recently received a letter from the Coconino County police in Northern Arizona alerting me that I have a warrant out for my arrest for a misdemeanor that was supposed to have been expunged almost 10 years ago. I went through all of the motions to have the misdemeanor expunged, and as far as I knew it had been taken care of. Fast forward 10 years and I get this letter saying I have a warrant out for that same misdemeanor.

I'm not sure what to do or how it even got to that point.

I currently live in Oregon, and I've been pulled over before in both Oregon and Washington with no problems. I've flown internationally, and never had anyone say anything about this. I recently flew back from Mexico through Texas, and had no issue with customs. Even went through the court system in Washington for Reckless Driving, and this was never brought up.

I'm currently interviewing at different prospective places of employment and worried this might show up on a background check.

How should I handle this? Can I get it moved to Oregon? Is it possible to go straight to expunging this thing that was supposed to be expunged in the first place?

I need some advice, not sure what to do.

Thank you very much for your time.

To start with, by investigating with the court and reviewing the case file to find out what happened.

    No.

You will be able to figure out what is or is not possible only after you find out what happened.

    No.

So the only way to handle it is to go back to Arizona? Is there any way to handle it from where I live, or is that my only option?

Again thank you for your response and time.

You can retain a local lawyer and see what he can do for you, or see what you can accomplish by yourself from your present location.

You have shared next to no useful information, so you are asking that we shoot in the dark. You can't determine what you need to do until you understand what happened.

Ok, sorry about that. I'll find out why the warrant is out, and see what I can do.

I appreciate your help. Have a great weekend.

Hopefully you kept all your paperwork from when you went to court: the outcome of the court case, proof that you completed any sentencing requirements if convicted, your expungement paperwork and your proof that the expungement was completed.
