Default Does a Child's Income Affect Child Support

My question involves child support in the State of: South Dakota

My Ex Wife and I are going through a Child Support Modification process. I received the documents and am understanding all of the required information however, our Daughter is 17 and has been working part time for the last year. My question is at the time of the hearing do I ask the referee if her income is factored into the modification or not? Is a minor Child's income factored into the income of both parents? I am not sure what to do or how to proceed...

    Thanks!

    John

Minor's income is not factored into CS. CS is to reimburse the parent for expense for said child.

With the exception of extreme circumstances.

OK ok... I can see what this looks like and No, I did not and am not looking to get out of paying for my daughter!!! We have been divorced for 15 years and this is normal. this will be the first modification in 12 years for us...I only posted this question because I had read something, which I can not find now, that if a minor child is working and earning a certain amount per year, that money is factored in. Its not a big deal to me, I did not retain an Attorney and am not worried. I was just curious..

    Thanks!
