    Maybe it's a regional thing. Here in the Cleveland area, most dentists have extremely limited Saturday hours, if at all. And I've never seen a dentist with Sunday hours.

    I would advise looking up dentists in your area and taking your child for the checkups. Many dentists have days with longer hours, and Saturday hours. You can also look up Free Dental Care in your state. I think Department of Community Health is another place that offers or could refer you to such a service.

    Also, make sure she knows how to floss, in case Mom has not taught her to do so.
