My question involves a marriage in the state of: Texas

In short, the decree states the mumbo jumbo about making in good faith payments and what not. This is not concurring and yes, I could pay this vehicle off to save my credit. Only problem is that the ex spouse is the main borrower and I am the co-borrower. So if I pay this car off, the title goes to him before me. I need some reasonable suggestions since we are not even 90 days post divorce which is the amount of time he was given to pay it off or refinance it. I probably would end up needing to re-key the ignition and locks since they will not have keys on repossession and I do not want him trying to take it.
