Question Non Custodial Parent Moving Out of State

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: california
I have 3 girls... my ex and I have joint legal and joint physical custody with me being primary parent... him having 30% me having 70%. He is moving to state of nevada...reno to be exact... we have a court date set for modification of child visitation etc... he served me so i dont try to get him for going out of state with the girls. He is asking one weekend a month and some weeks on vacatiin and a month during summer... my question is.. i feel thats ok.. but
.. the drive on one weekend to and from reno is a 6hr drive..that would be a bit much knowing they get out of school at 330 and have to drive back on sunday.. I can see him staying with family here to see the girls for his weekend... is that unreasonable? They are 7yrs and twins are 11yrs old... another thing is I would ask for full physical and full legal based on the fact he is moving and hasnt been once involved in any school activities for the girls... is that too much to ask in the courts eyes because he is moving.. I agree to the time that he wants with the girls.. jist not the drive for the weekend...

He can share legal custody of the children with their being a distance between CA and the next state over. In fact, the distance between most parts of CA and Reno are shorter than the distance between San Diego and Yreka.

Just modify the visitation and leave well enough alone
If you wanted babies all to yourself, you should have created them by yourself. Until you do that, children have the right to BOTH parents, especially since you found them suitable to procreate with.

"Don't bother asking to change legal (decision making) custody"

If you don't want the girls to be spending so much time in the car - and believe me, that can be an incredible bonding and educational experience - you're going to have to offer him FAR more time during the year.
