Default Is it Legal to Record People in Public or at Work

My question involves civil rights in the State of: Pennsylvania

Is it illegal to record people without their knowledge at work or in public? In a place like an employee cafeteria with lots of people around or in a mall environment at the food court? Or if people use a phone and you happen to record the words the say on one end of the phone discussion. Those are examples of the types of conversations.

The conversations are not specific. Just people talking.

Default Re: Recording People in Public or at Work

    There's several principles involved here:

    1. Recording people in public places, and whether even in the public situation was there an expectation of privacy.
    2. Recording specific conversations.
    3. What you intend to do with the recordings.

I could write paragraphs about each of these topics.

Why don't you try to be a little more specific in what you are concerned about?
