Default Can You Get Unemployment if Laid Off by a Foreign Company

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: ??

I spent 2.5 years working for a foreign company. I paid taxes to the country where I was employed. 7 months ago the company tanked and I was laid off. After looking for work in the foreign country for 5 months, I returned to the US and have been looking for work here for 3 months.

Can I obtain unemployment benefits from anywhere while I continue looking?

    Thank you.

Default Re: U.S. Citizen Employed by Foreign Company and Laid Off

No. Nothing was paid to the unemployment office of any state for the last almost three years; therefore you do not qualify financially for unemployment.
