Can a Child Get Emancipated Without a Job

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas. My Aunt recently passed away, leaving behind her 15 year old daughter. She is living at my grandma's. Her father is in another state and has long since abandoned her. She will be getting ssi, is still in high school, and plans when turning 16 to do half days working and school or college and school. Has multiple houses to live at mine her aunts and grandma's. She wants to emancipate so that she can live where desired and be able to sign for her own schooling medical and so on.Would this be possible or is there a strict law on rules and regulations; age, job, and residency, in order to be emancipated.
