Why are you filing a subpoena over a discovery request?

It seems that things are different for traffic court. Some sort of 'discovery request' seems to be normal.

Further, the judge refused to sign my subpoena, and sent me to the prosecutor with it. I had to give it to the prosecutor, unsigned by a judge, and for good measure I also took it to WSP. Then I took a copy of the cover, stamped by the prosecutor and WSP to the court.

But this seems an abnormal way to do things. Where's the authority?

I'm thinking that you failed to read the procedural guide as Searcher99 said to do.

The authority is in IRLJ 3.1. You'll be lucky to get anything back from the prosecutor at this moment.

I read the procedural guide. Unfortunately the link to his discovery request is DEAD. So I had to use common PRACTICE.

What's wrong with using standard legal procedure? Is this Never-Never Land?

IRLJ 1.1 (b): These rules shall be construed to secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every infraction case.

Quantumn, the current discovery request link is on page 5 of the Procedural Guide, but was already linked in your thread by Disagreeable. Remember this is all free information and you might have to dig a little.
