    Default Listed on Birth Certificate but Not Biological Father

    My question involves a child custody case from the State of: New Jersey

    My son is three months old

    I'm listed as his father on his birth certificate

    I've been with the child everyday since he was born

    My girlfriend just told me that I'm not the father

    The father originally wanted a abortion and not to be involved. Now he does

    I don't want to loose my baby I want to stay his father I've raised him and love him as my child

    What rights do I have?

    to continue to be the father if the bio father does not take the proper actions to establish his paternity and have yours removed. Other than that, very little.

    If Mom and bio Dad want to have you removed as father, unfortunately for you it's going to be very easy in NJ.

    Is this the same woman as the one whose child you were trying to adopt a couple of years ago?
