I've been divorced for a couple months now. In California, I can't legally remarry till June because the law requires 6 months before remarriage.
I reconnected with a past girlfriend who is a Canadian citizen. Since I can't get married before June, I assume I can't file for the k-1 fiancé visa till June? Can I file it sooner so she can come sooner? We're desperate to be with one another and all this extra time is really frustrating.
What happens if I file for the k-1 around March? It won't finish processing till July at the earliest.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I mainly need the following questions answered:
1. What happens if I petition with I-129F before June? Are there penalties if it's seen that I've been divorced within the past 6 months?
2. Are there any quicker ways to have her come here and get her papers?
3. How likely are the USCIS to catch on to the fact that I was divorced within 6 months of petitioning with the I-129F?

Thanks.
