I have a question. I am renting a condo that was put up for sale by owner when I signed the lease. The lease states that owner has to give written within at least 30 days before closing to tenant to end lease. The owner called me on Jan 4th and said that she had a offer and was going to closing on Jan 30th 2014. She told me I had to be out by jan 30th by 12:00 noon. I told her that I received no notice in writing. She said I knew that the place was up for sale. I had sent her a rent payment for Jan 1. 2014. I told her do not cash it. Use my last month rent she is holding including my security deposit. She cashed the check and now it's insisting that I be out by jan 30 th 2014. I told her since she broke the lease and didn't give me notice that she has to give me all she owes me, last month rent and security deposit if she wants me out, otherwise I am staying until I receive proper notification. I live in Pennsylvania and have a year to year lease. What are my options??
