Default How Long After Statutory Rape Can You Still Get Charged

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

Can someone be charged for having sex with a 17 year old 14 years ago? She was 23 at the time.

As long as the 23 year old was not in a position of authority of the minor, they couldn't be charged period for consensual sex. In Florida sex crimes against minors statute of limitations start at the time the minor turns 18.

I'm sure he has other victims. Hopefully, they will come forward. Men like this do not offend once or twice.

It is concerning his wife is not comprehending the damage he has done to his victims. Especially, his granddaughter I do not blame the mother for wanting him punished. If the mother is his daughter. It makes you wonder what he might have done to her.

Interesting that you jumped right to the conclusion that the adult was a man. You even overlooked that the OP said that “she was 23 at the time.” (Underlining added.) Would you say the same thing about a woman adult, that “women like this do not offend once or twice”?
