    Default Written Warning at Work

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. If I contest this warning, my Supervisor will inadvertently take it out on me. If I do sign it, I am allowing an injustice and also a terrible document in my personnel file.

Please take the time to read...a tad lengthy, but necessary details for you to understand such an odd topic.I have received a written warning that will go into my personnel file for basically disrupting the sleep of my roommate at a company meeting.

This is a mandatory meeting that took place in another state.

After a full day's meetings, we were told that we had a "free night".
A team member and I went out, as several others had, and had a tad too much to drink, but we are by far of adult age.

    Even my Supervisors drink.

Unintentionally I woke my roommate when I got back to the hotel. (Yes, we are in our thirties and have to share a hotel room).
We then talked a bit about the night and then went to sleep.

Because we were all within the same Regional team, (the two of us that went out and our roommates), our Supervisor learned that we had gone out and woke them up. Period.

Our Supervisor then proceeded to pull these others out of the meeting the next day, questioning them on what exactly happened and what was said.

Everyone drinks on free nights at these meetings and alcohol is served on planned evening events by my company.

My written warning basically summed up is that some co-workers observed innapropriate behavior as a result of drinking alcohol and some of that "behavior" took place at the hotel.

I am absolutely at a loss here. I have had an impeccable record since college.
I have been exceedingly productive for my company and just recieved a promotion approximately three weeks ago.

Several others have had too much to drink at these events, and to my knowledge it has not been taken to this degree.

I have never even had a verbal warning nor
been in this situation with my company before.

I speculate that my immediate Supervisor is being unjust due to the fact that the head of our organization is whom I directly went to about my promotion. This only because of time matter and I called my immediate right after.

Please respond with any and all information!
I have read every law website and two books that I've just purchased. In these the laws of topic are actually substantial and I could find no info on such a small, odd topic.

    Default Drinking at Company Meeting

It is impossible to gauge what happened or the seriousness of the warning, given that we don't know what conduct is alleged (other than you waking your roommate), and we don't know what (if any) consequence there is for having this warning in your employee file.

Thank you for your reply Aaron.

Nothing crazy or unlawful or anything like that happened. And whatever
DID happen took place on our personal time nowhere in the hotel that
    we were staying in.

This is where i am so confused.
