My question involves an easement in the state of: Oklahoma
I have a landlocked acre that I got from my sister and brother-in-law. When I registered the deed I never asked for a written agreement as to an easement to the property. There used to be an old stage coach way station on that acre and the old stagecoach road ran up to it. They said I could use that road and I had it graded by the county. That was about 40 years ago and since then both my sister and her husband have passed. I never improved the property.
I want to sell it and need an easement. My nieces and nephews are not communicating with me about this and since I was given right of way to the property and made a road to it, is this still in force? Also, several parcels were sold and there is a neighbor close to my property that I could Y off his driveway and cut the road to mine by 75%.
My realtor tells me Oklahoma has no easement law for landlocked property.![]()
