After searching this forum for hours, I have yet to see this exact situation/question asked... I'll make this as brief as possible:

My roommate and I were both on our original 1 year lease for an appartment in Southern California. My roommate was constantly paying his 1/2 of the rent late. Last month (October '06) he never got around to paying his 1/2 of the rent, so when I went in on November 1st to pay my 1/2 of rent (on time as always) the apt manager told me he couldn't accept partial payment for November being that the previous month wasn't paid up. Several days later we received a '3-day notice to pay or quit'.
------->However on this notice my roommate was the only one listed (my name was nowhere to be found). After receiving this notice my roommate failed to come up with his portion due, so I expect to receive an eviction notice any day now...
***My question is this: If I am not named on the '3-day notice to pay or quit', AND I am not listed on the eviction notice soon to come, will this STILL effect my credit since I was on the original lease? Or does it seem that the office management understands my situation and will only be going after my roommate?
