My question involves restraining orders in the State of: California
Okay, I've done a bit of reading online about the matter but I'd like a little more help. My ex- who I have broken up with, has been sending me really harsh text messages. I like to think I'm strong and can take care of myself with bullying but his messages are beginning to frighten me. I am worried about the safety of my family and myself.
He never actually said HE'D do anything to harm us, but he said he wants me to "experience the loss of a loved one," or he wants me to walk into oncoming traffic. I have asked him to leave me alone and stop contacting me several times. after the last time I said goodbye, he texted me two more times but I have not given him a response.
He is never actually threatening to do anything to me but "wishes" or "wants" bad things to happen to me and my loved ones.
I really don't care what he says about me because at this point I understand this is harassment and his opinion means nothing to me. However, he knows where I live and also where I work. I feel threatened.
Should I contact the police and give my records of these messages? I do not want to waste their time if they cannot do anything about this. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
