My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
Close to where I live, there is a pecan orchard. I would like to go there to find pecan truffles, but I've tried calling them and they aren't answering because they only open for one day in November for normal pecan harvesting. So I have to go there and knock and their door to ask, but I'm worried this might be trespassing, especially as owners of farms and orchards tend to be protective of their land. There aren't any fences or no trespassing signs, and there is a driveway clearly leading to their house, which might be an implied invitation. Is it trespassing if you go on someones property to knock on their door and ask if you can be on their property in the first place? If this was the case, all salesmen would be in trouble.
