My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Texas
Couple of years ago I filled out an employee engagement survey at work. in that survey I kinda went of ranting about everything etc. Now my employer decides to make my job a living hell due to what i put on that survey, Starting of 2013 I got a new supervisor that was clearly hired to run me off, long story short that supervisor and several other employees decided to go against me and monitored everything I said etc. They would all act like friends and we would bitch and complain about the regular stuff at work like we always did however they kept record of only the bad things i said.
Later in the year things were getting bad so I tried moving to a different position but didn't get the position, and when it got worst i called my HR department and reported the issue. After I called HR they started retaliating against me and tried to get me fired, I got several harnessing text messages and once again I reported the issue to HR department. Both of those two guys were let go and I went back to work.
In Sep 2013 we had another survey so I picked excellent for everything except their training and did not put any remarks, all the guys that were setting me up to fail have received a promotion and I also have moved to a different position away from these guys. As of late things are going back to the way there were, i keep getting bullied around by some of those guys even though I am not in there department anymore.
They are making my current job difficult by having the guy before me do less, that way I have to pick up his slack and not have enough time to finish up everything I have to do. I don't have access to all the software i need to enter my paperwork and i have called the help desk several times, keep saying bad things about the company, management, how things are etc and repeating bad stuff that i said months ago. Putting some equipment out of service that I need for my job, keep changing how things are done to make it more difficult. I am new at the position that I am in now so they moved the most experienced operators to a different shift so I am left with people with no experience, if I call a mechanic for help they act like they have no clue what to do.
One of those guys acted as a stranger online on a social net app and started chatting with me and starting asking things like if I like my job and the company etc.
They came out with this new policy where I have to go thru management before I can call HR, Now I would do that however its clear as day that my management want me to quit and they don't keep my complaints or anything confidential they act all professional around me but have these other guys do all their dirty work for them. My manager says that the survey was confidential however everything these other guys do and in directly say shows that nothing I say or do is confidential.
Now I do realize that before couple of people were fired for harassing me I had a bad attitude and said alot of negative things that could easily get me fired but I learned from my mistakes and had made a huge improvement since I went back, I went to a different department too move away from all those guys and start over and get back a normal life but clearly they are expecting something else. I have also seen prof medical help to deal with all the stress and anxiety for couple of months. Im considering just getting a lawyer involved and go ahead and settle because I don't see things changing.
My question is what should I do in this case?
