I have been having an affair with a married man for approximately 16 months. I am also still married although I now live in a different state from my husband and do plan on filing for divorce. We were both in situations in which we were not happy with our marriages and did not love our spouses anymore in the way that we should. At the time the affair began I lived in a state that no longer recognizes this law, but the man that I was having the affair with lives in NC. I moved to NC as he told me that he was going to leave his wife to be with me. However, once I got there he backed out so I moved back to the state that I had lived in before. During this time his wife found out about the affair. He continued to call me mainly using calling cards so that she couldn't track it down. But she does know that I called his cell and claims that it was me always contacting him. I couldn't find a job in the state that I had moved back to, but was offered a job in NC so I returned. The affair continued during this time. He left his wife, took all of his possessions, and moved in with me (for 1 night!). He left the next afternoon to go back to her because of what she was claiming she was going to do. She called and said that she was going to file an alienation of affection suit against me to 'ruin my name'. So he went back to her. I want to know what she can do now and what she could do if he was to come back (which is probably unlikely now).
